Implementation is Everything
I have been working with a number of non-profits over the past six months. Non-profits qualify for many different types of grants. Often these grants include money for hiring a marketingprenenur like myself. If the non-profit is really good at preparing grants, they can become very successful at securing additional funds.
The challenge that these arts oriented non-profits are faced with once they secure the money to hire an expert, they have to come up with the money to implement the marketing strategies themselves. Without having money to implement, the services that are obtained via grant money are of little to no use.
The main point I want to make is that no matter what business you are in and how little or much money you have to apply towards marketing – unless you have an implementation plan and follow it, your business has limited potential.
When a really good idea comes to you, write down how you are going to make it happen, even if it’s simply recording dates in your daytimer. Some of the most successful marketing campaign are simple ideas that were properly implemented.
